Ljubisav Orbović, President of the Autonomous Trade Union of Chemical and Non-metal Workers Union of Serbia and the General Secretary of the CATUS was elected President of the CATUS at the meeting of the CATUS  Council held on September 26, 2007 upon retirement of the earlier CATUS President prof. Milenko Smiljanić.

Biography of Ljubisav Orbović

Ljubisav Orbović was born on January 8, 1960 in Belgrade. He was   Secretary and the President of the Union in tire industry “Rekord” in Belgrade, member of the Presidency and the Council of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Rakovica commune,  Chemical and Non-metal Workers Union Belgrade Committee, President of the Serbian Sub-committee for rubber and caoutchouc, member of the Councils of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Belgrade and Serbia, secretary and the President of the Republican Committee of the Chemical and Non-metal Workers Union of Serbia and he is now its President. He was the Vice-president of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Serbia in two mandates.

In 2005, at the World Federation of Industrial Workers Congress in Dakar, Senegal, he was elected member of the World Board.
